Abstract

Being a philosopher – being a human. A text commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the passing of Professor Jaroslava Pešková. – In this paper, author reflects on what it means to be a philosopher – a female philosopher – and what it means to be human, drawing on the example of Professor Jaroslava Pešková. I seek inspiration in three approaches to philosophy – the ancient concept of wonder at the non-self-evidence of the self-evident, Heidegger’s responsible answering, and finally the conception of philosophy according to G. Deleuze and F. Guattari.
