Author Biography

Zita Skořepová

a graduate student of ethnomusicology and anthropology at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University. She is interested in music as a part of everyday life and its relationship to the self-perception or self-identity of musicians. At present she is going to deal with musical activities of the Czech minority in Vienna. In addition to her student research, she is an active musician specializing in Hebrew and Yiddish songs.
